Cross Cultural Health Care Resources
The Cross Cultural Health Care Program (CCHCP) offers training, interpreter services, publications and other resources, and conducts research, in order to ensure access to high-quality and culturally and linguistically appropriate health care for people in ethnic minority communities (1200 12th Ave. S., Seattle, WA 98144; 206-326-4161.) Some CCHCP materials are available in the UWMC and HMC rehabilitation clinics.
EthnoMed Ethnic Medicine Guide is an electronic database that contains information about cultural beliefs and other issues pertinent to the health care of recent immigrants to Seattle (Amharic, Cambodian, Chinese, Eritrean, Mexican, Oromo, Somali, Tigrean, and Vietnamese). EthnoMed is a joint project of the UW Health Sciences Library and the HMC Community House Calls Program.
