ConnectAbility Lab
Thanks to generous funding from the Craig H. Neilsen Foundation, the new ConnectAbility Lab at Harborview Medical Center is open!
The ConnectAbility Lab is focused on Assistive Technology (AT) solutions and offers specialized evaluation and training with cutting edge technology to enhance the independence of those living with spinal cord injury.
During your time in the lab, an occupational or speech therapist can evaluate your needs, discuss options and resources available, and provide training in the following areas:
- Computer, Tablet, & Phone Access
- Electronic Aids for Daily Living (EADLs)/Smart Home Technology
- Adaptive Gaming
- Voice Recognition Training
- Augmentative/Alternative Communication Systems (AAC)
If you or someone you know would benefit from these services, you can get a referral for occupational therapy or speech therapy from a physician.
